Medication Drop Off Program

The Whitefish Bay Police Department accepts old, unwanted prescription drugs for disposal. This is for Whitefish Bay residents only. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

No medications will be accepted from businesses. All prescription pills must be in a clear plastic baggie and not in their original container. Prescription ointments should stay in their original tubes. Prescription liquids are accepted and should remain in their bottle.

Items Accepted


  • Prescriptions
  • Over-the- counter medications, ointments, patches, non-aerosol sprays, creams
  • Pet Medication

Items Not Accepted


  • Illegal drugs
  • Needles/sharps including Epipens
  • Biohazardous material (anything containing a bodily fluid or blood)
  • Personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc.)
  • Household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas)

  • Beauty aids
